Christmas Memories!

As we look forward to spending time with our loved ones during the holidays, it's nice to remember the good times past.

Cookies with Santa

Last weekend we took Grayson to the YMCA for Cookies with Santa. Santa was not a big hit with her, but just about everything else was. She ran from one end of the gym to the other throwing "snowballs" (they were really big cotton balls), eating cookies, going down the slide, eating cookies, and saying "Hi" to EVERYONE AT LEAST FIVE TIMES. And did I mention eating cookies? Thank you Aunt Tiff! The picture below with her arms straight back was taken as she ran by us at top speed. I think she puts her arms like that so she is more aerodynamic.

First Snow Fall

Tuesday morning we awoke to the first snow fall of the year (the date stamp from the camera is wrong). Grayson couldn't wait to get outside in her new boots and explore. I love watching Grayson as she experiences new things. Unfortunatly, these pictures do not capture the excitement, joy, and wonder in watching her catch snowflakes on her tongue for the first time.

Saturday afternoon with Dad

The end of the semester is near, so on the weekends Grayson and her Daddy get to spend lots of quality time together. On a study break I went downstairs and discovered Grayson in this outfit. Priceless!

Gifts from Aunt Cha Cha and Uncle Dan

Aunt Cha Cha (Amanda) and Uncle Dan sent Halloween gifts for Grayson. This was her response to the huge bag of M&M's, "Mmmm. WOW! Me? Me?". Then she conned her Mother by pretending to want a kiss instead, she grabbed the bag and ran away. What could I do but laugh? We watched the DVD on Saturday and continues to walk around with the case. Thank you so much Aunt Cha Cha and Uncle Dan!

Halloween 2008

Graysons outgoing personality becomes more evident daily. As we were dressing her in her costume, she smiled and repeated "WOW!" over and over. When she was complete, she laughed and proceded to chase the cats, presumably to show off her outfit. Once outside, she ran towards other children yelling, "Hi!", scareing about 90% of them. It amazes me how outgoing and socialable she is, especially since I am the exact opposite. We were invited to a neighborhood party a few houses down, and once inside, she walked around independently looking at everyone, saying Hi, and checking out the home. People were loud, but that didn't phase her one bit. She just walked around until she found the candy corns, she stuffed a whole fist-full in her mouth. The look on Michael's face was priceless. Finally, after visiting MiMI and her cousins, she crashed. Quiet time before bed lasted a little longer than usuall, suger perhaps? At 1 point she sat up, looked at me and said, "Nite-Nite". She kissed everyone good night and then layed her in crib. I think she was asleep before I got to the door!

My First Haircut

On Saturday Michael came home from teaching swim lessons and said, "We are going to get Graysons' haircut whether you like it or not". So we did. I guess I continued to put it off because I do not want to admit that my baby is no longer a baby. Grayson did so well as she sat on my lap and smiled as her hair was cut. She now looks more like a toddler than an infant, the time really does go by fast.

October 26,2008

So I finally did it. It's about time, right? I decided to create this blog as I know I am not good at documenting Grayson's progress in life. I wish I was as creative and artisitc as my sister-in-law, Amanda, but I am what I am. Plus with work, school, and trying to spend as much quality time as possible with the funniest and most amazing person I know under 4'...free time eludes me. Our intention is for all of our loved ones scattered across the country to get a peek into the life of the infamous Grayson Abigail. We love and miss all you who are so far away!
